Hey y’all! I’m Kailin Brown. I hail from Burlington, Ontario in Canada and now live in Crown Heights, BK. I am a proud graduate of Pace University with a BFA in Musical Theatre and a BFA Minor in Commercial Dance. I began my theatre journey at the wee age of 2, when I watched Singin’ in the Rain with my grandparents for the first time. I decided right then that performing is what I needed to do, and started immediately in competitive dance, vocal lessons, and community theatre. I feel truly at home on stage, and I love being able to make a difference in someone’s life the way so many performers have made a difference in mine.
You can catch me currently performing in Little House on the Ferry at The Duplex — get your tickets here!
While living and training in NYC I have had the most incredible opportunities and experiences. I was on the Broadway National Tour of Chicago in 2023 and 2024 as Velma Kelly. I am a company member of both ELSCO Dance Company and Thistle Dance, exploring my artistry through contemporary movement. I have gotten to be a part of numerous workshops, including the pre-production of New York City Centre’s Evita, as well as The Rumspringa Project choreographed by Ellenore Scott. I had the great honour of playing Violet Newstead in Pace University’s main stage production of 9 to 5, and I also had the opportunity to choreograph a new off-Broadway play, Egg Frame.
When I’m not working I am usually listening to classic rock, reading anything sci-fi or queer, playing a classic game of euchre with my family, or cuddling up in bed with my girlfriend watching a movie and eating a gluten free vegan meal.
